Tenuta Monte Ilice

Tenuta Monte Ilice is located in Sicily, on the southern side of Etna Park, at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level, on the steep slopes of Mount Ilice, an extinct crater where viticultura eroica or ”heroic viticulture” has always been practiced with dedication and a place of poetic beauty.

The vineyard, four hectares that had been totally abandoned for years, was recovered by saving many of the original vines and replanting local grape varieties.

Local grape varieties and the age-old tenacity of Etna’s wine-growers are the ingredients of Tenuta Monte Ilice wines, which are created in one of the most inaccessible and fascinating areas around Etna.
